'''''Pilumnopeus''''' es un género de cangrejos de la familia Pilumnidae con doce especies. Habitan la zona de mareas|litoral en el Atlántico este tropical|tropical y en el Indo-Pacífico occidental y central.

== Características ==
The carapace is up to 20 mm long, rounded and approximately square. The forehead is wider than a third of the width of the carapace, straight and lined with long, forward-facing bristles. The front side edge is reinforced with four teeth or lobes. The outer surface of the hand of one or both chela (arthropods)|scissors is smooth, microscopically granulated and unbristle. The second walking leg is longer than twice the length of the carapace. The ischium and merus of the last walking bone are unsupported along the lower edge. The first Damit of the Pleon (Cancer)|Pleon is wider than the second, the third Damit is less than 1.5 times as wide as the fourth. The eighth sternite is only incompletely covered by the second somite. In males, the telson does not extend to the middle of the fourth sternite.
